Cuppa Social / Thurs 22 Nov ’18 / 6.00 – 7.15pm

We decided that there’s never enough time just to sit and chat, so our very own Rebecca Kinge has organised a ‘Cuppa Social’ on Thurs 22nd November at 6pm at By Sea Coffee Lounge.

This is chance for anyone interested in health and sustainability in Southampton to come and chat. It’s very informal, let’s grab a seat together in this social enterprise cafe, and catch up with new and old community friends. It’s open to all. We have a Facebook event, if Facebook is your thing.

Whilst we chat, if you wish, you can join in making white ribbons ready for White Ribbon Day on 25th Nov 2018. This is a national campaign to raise awareness of domestic and sexual violence against women. The Southampton coordinator for local events, Julie Marron, will be coming along too, so you can find out more about #WhiteRibbonDay2018 or she can be contacted via email j.marron@southamptonvs.org.uk

We will be finishing our Cuppa Social at 7.15pm. After that Touch network will be holding one of their regular Evenings of Live Storytelling. These are uplifting and thoughtful evenings where we hear local people’s stories of how they have overcome tricky times. This is a ticketed event, and you can purchase tickets in advance via Touch Network’s website. If you haven’t been to one of these before, we know you’ll like it!

If you want more socials, the next Dangerous Ideas event will be on 7 December 2018 in the evening. More details to follow. We will also be launching new community projects soon , so watch this space…..
