Thurs 18 July 2019 / 11.30am–2.30pm
October Books 189 Portswood Road, SO17 2FN Southampton
Fancy having a go at mosaic making? Last year we made some mosaics
with parents, to raise awareness of autism, ADHD and mental health challenges
in young people. We were lucky to have local artist Will Rosie from All About
Art showing us the way and supporting us.
We still have a few mosaics to finish and we
could make a couple more, so come and join in. No experience needed. Or if you
don’t fancy making the mosaics, just drop by for a free cup of tea or coffee
and a chat. All welcome. We particularly welcome people with an interest in
mental health and neurodiversity, which is probably everyone!
Healthwatch Southampton is keen to hear your
views on health services, and is a partner in the Southampton Art in Health
forum. This event is also supported by Southampton Collective, Re:minds parent
support group and is in the community room at October Books on Portswood Road
(on the main stretch of shopping street between Waitrose and Sainsburys),
access via the bookshop.
The event will be hosted by Rebecca Kinge and
you can call her on 07968 777261 if you have any questions.
