The team is made up of:
Clare works with October Books and Transition Southampton and is involved in a range of community activity in the city. She has a background in sustainability research with a focus on our urban water systems and has over 15 years experience in this area. In the past ten years Clare has been a key member of Transition groups both here in Southampton and in Australia and is passionate about the head, heart and hands approach the movement advocates and the focus on positive community led action.
Rebecca works on climate change, air quality and health projects. She is the co-coordinator of the Southampton Art in Health Forum and is developing our Health Model Village community outreach work. Previously, Rebecca has worked with Healthwatch Southampton and has also been involved with TEDxSouthampton, Tiger Yard Pop Up Shop, Southampton’s Pride of Place Project and Dangerous Ideas Southampton. She has extensive experience in community engagement, having worked on community projects for many years organising events with both adults and children, collating feedback on public consultations, facilitating workshops, working with policy makers, and generally raising awareness of social and environmental issues in the Southampton community. Mandi is the project lead for the Nesta-funded air quality project, is the policy lead for Clean Air Southampton and part of the production team for TEDxSouthampton. She has worked on environmental projects for many years, from conservation to climate change, in the UK and abroad. Mandi’s focus is currently on clean air with a particular interest in policy change and community engagement.
